Is Your Board Conscious? A truly conscious Board must embrace a culture of consciousness and must aim to operate consciously across the broad spectrum of the business concerns Cultivating a Conscious and Coherent Board. The level of consciousness in a Board is the collective consciousness that accrues to that Board through the individuals who interact with that Board. Achieving a balance of Directors rights to know and their accountability. Have you ever had the situation where Board members have tried to directly instruct staff, or have questioned senior management decisions outside of the Board meeting, or have taken partial control of staff functions? The Problem with Board Evaluations. One of the most common complaints about Board evaluations is that they did not result in any, or many, changes. So, what can you do? We recommend three strategies to overcome this problem.
