Conscious Governance, Nonprofit Strategic Planning for CEO's, Executives, and Nonprofit Boards.

Conscious Boards

A Conscious Nonprofit Board is one where individuals on the Board have chosen to be aware and conscious, where they truly understand the role of the Board and their role as Board members, where they are continually looking at what else is possible in skills and knowledge, personal awareness and conscious leadership, and where they embrace self evaluation and Board performance evaluation.

A Conscious Nonprofit Board has the following elements

  • A clear succession plan, skills analysis and recruitment process for themselves and their CEO
  • A comprehensive strategic induction program
  • A Board Charter providing formal guidance on roles of the Board and Board members
  • An annual process of Board evaluation that adds value to the Board and stakeholders
